My Combustion chamber on my Heads?

Picked up my heads from the machine shop and turns out they only have 61.8 cc Combustion chambers. They were supposed to be 70.0 cc. what kind of compression is that going to give me with my stock bottom end with factory head gaskets? I think they are supposed to be around .060 thickness on the gaskets on the 02's. Wiish someone would repost the head volumes again that was a sticky for so long it was a useful tool I should have made a copy. Oh in case you were wondering I am going to run a Vortech S/C. That is the reason for wanting the larger chambers.

PSJ: I just talked to Inspector12 and he told me these are PP LS6 Heads purchased from SDPC and his spec sheet says that they are 70 cc chambers but after picking them up from the machine shop today they told him that they were only 61.8 cc chambers. Now he's just debating on whether or not he should have the combustion chambers opened up. He is wondering if he will screw the combustion chambers up by having the material machined out of the chambers.

Seems like a waste of small chambers...........that being said, I see no reason why the PP LS6 heads can't be opened up. Eight cc's is a bunch of material to remove, but it can be done. Perhaps you should talk to PP and see if they have larger chamber heads you can swap with..............
Good luck,
Richard
