Ok, need a smaller cam, suggestions please.....
I think I'm gonna go with a smaller cam, something that idles smoother, has better driveability, etc. I will keep the heads on, and don't want to lose alot of power. My current cam specs are 230.4, 224.5, 110.3* LSA, TR230/224. I am thinking of going with the 227/224 114, the standby 224/224 114, or maybe even the MTI C2 "Hammer Cam", but am open to suggestions. Do you think driveability and idle quality would be greatly improved with these cams versus the 230/224 111. Let me know what you think, Shawn

You could even go with a 114 lsa of the TR230 cam if you want.. I would ask for 4 degrees advance as well. What gears do you have? Changing the lsa would smooth out your idle...

Seriously consider stepping up to the Hammer (C2) 224/224 112
I went 10.6 with it.... a BIG cam is not needed to go fast....a well matched "tight" set up is.
Drivability is like silk and it will run with the wind.
You will have torque from a red light and not have to spin the snot out of your bottom end to make decent power.
That cam has been very good to me.
Good luck amigo...
