PLease help with Head choice!!!
P.s i do not want to spend 3k on heads maybe up to 2100.00
P.s i do not want to spend 3k on heads maybe up to 2100.00I would skip the PP LS6 style heads and go for TEA's or Absolutes. It's the same or less money for TEA/Absolute products that offer potentially better results.
For less money you can get a set of 1.5 TEA 5.3's with hand touch ups that will flow more air, are more consistant & tend to yield better results. TEA has excellent customer service and isn't constantly fixing stuff after it is sent out for the most part because TEA tends to get it right the first time.
Also Absolute is well worth considering. They have a special going on Stage 2 heads in the Sponsors section. The Absolutes are very well proven with excellent results.
Cammin posted some results from an independant flow test for the PP LS6 style head.

To paraphrase many of the posts about PP customer service go something like: I had a problem with my PP and Terry took care of it. Terry is great for taking care of the problem parts PP sent me by sending replacement parts in a timely manner.
Terry does and outstanding job with taking care of problems & customer service based on what his customers say. The welding is very critical for a quality PP LS6 style head. Might ask Terry if anyone has ever had issues/sent/is sending PP LS6 "style" heads back due to the welded up chambers being soft or porous.

Ofcourse there are a few current posts where j-rods car with absolute heads makes 480 hp and another car just made 503 hp with absolute speed heads but Im sure you saw those on your own. There are a bunch of cars in the 450+ range with 5.3 heads from Absolute and TEA and there 5.3 heads cost less than the pp 6.0 heads . Ofcourse I wont tell you what to do.
To Net it out, that cam with AS 5.3 heads is a good choice. I picked up ove 90 RWHP with that combo amd may have more in the car.

There is no issues or problems with any of the welded chambers.I have been doing this stuff for years.I have the heads heat treated so they are not soft or porous.
I have been flow testing many ports this week.On my bench the heads flow.I would like for an independent magazine or company to do a test.Someone that doesn't own or buy from any of the head companies.
