Just looked and you can't do lower than a 220 on XE-R lobe. So givin that a 220/220 like TSP offers would make for a good cam. Overlap would be -6
Whether or not it will pass smog is also dependant on tune more than overlap so keep that in mind

Back again a 218 Comp XFI lobe is only .605"

218 XFI and a 222 XE-R would be something to look into. Have you tried PMing PatrickG or PredatorZ?

99Bluz28, my cam spec is 224/230 114LSA .581/.588 lift. According to the web calculator my cam has a -1* overlap. However, b4 I bought this cam I consult another cam expert here. He said I should pass CA smog no problem. What's your opinion?

It's possible, but I'd have to say it depend on how well it tuned in regards to passing California emissions testing, instead of max power and drivability.

what makes them legal is they payed off CARB which is a bullshit of a deal. Increasing compression will effect your nox i believe. A 224 on 114 is proven andhard to beat but personally the eps 222/226 on 113 would be my ideal cam but it will not be much of a difference.

I thought so..Kind of sucks it may increase your nox...But the Hondas/Imports 4 cyl are running really high compression from the factory and are ULEV rated...I am interested what Geoff will come up with..I have paid/Gave him my info so we will see...I will also Dyno before and after my 212/216 cam
