Default Well I ordered my new motor today..

As some of you know my #1 piston commited suicide and decided it wanted to take the head with it. I've spent the last week kicking around what to do. I looked at everything from ARE 382 longblock to rebuilding my old motor.

Previously I had:
Stock Bottom End
SLP Stage I heads
TR 224/224-112 CAM
TR Pushrods
SLP Headers
JW 10" 3400 Verter
TH400 /Tbrake
Moser 12 bolt with 3.73

Today I order:
Forged 346 Shortblock
Refinished Crank
Diamond Forged Flat Top Pistons
Diamond Pro Rings
Factory Rods w/ ARP Bolts
Clevite Race Bearings
ARP Head Studs
5.3 GTP Stage II Heads
Comp 978 Springs
TR 230/224-112 CAM
TR Racing Headers
BMR Tubular K-member
BMR Lower A-Arms
YANK SS3800E
Gaskets and fuilds

Oh yea I spent some cash today <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" />
I want to thank Paul at Thunder Racing for hooking me with some discounts, Thanks Paul! <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" />

I should have all my parts in and the car on the road in a month. I chose the Yank SS3800E because I want an all purpose converter. I will be daily driving, racing, and spraying a minimum of a TNT-150 shot after I get thing put back together. I know the TR230/224 isn't a nitrous cam, but I want to be able to kick some *** all motor and be able spray a 150-200 when I feel frisky. I know the a split cam would work better, but I am curious to see how this setup will work as I turn up the juice on it.

Now for the hard part; waiting for parts.

Wish me luck.

Paul is the devil. <img border="0" alt="[evil]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_devil.gif" />

Next thing you know, you'll be thinking of other things that you need... Paul pops up, says "yeah, we can get you that". You turn around, your bill keeps growing. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

Paul is evil. Wouldn't have it any other way. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

Good choice. Congrats. Oh yeah, the wait is killer. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

I know what you mean! I forgot to order my NGK plugs, I'm afraid to call Paul back, I'll probably spend another grand, he makes everything so easy to buy!

Go with a 30/30 cam. It will be good on the juice and without.
