simple fix.. hopefully you didnt hydro lock the engine and break anything...
drain it all...oil drain plug is on the oil pan under the car
you will need a 15qt pan to catch it in
put back in the plug
refill the engine with 5.5 qts of OIL
run for 10 minutes.. re drain oil and refill again with new oil...
that should get al the trans fluid out...
it wont hurt anything.. you just need to do an oil change sooner than normal to make sure you get it all out.

yes... it went in the wrong place and is now contaminated
you cant reuse it.
oil is personal choice...
but GM recommends Mobile1 - 5w30 Synthetic for the LS1
your transmission fluid choice just needs to be Dexron/Mercon III.. again.. your choice of normal or synthetic
Dexron is labeled for GM, Mercron is labeled for ford, one with both labels is universal.
just dont put it into the engine oil fill
I would highly suggest finding a friend or a buddy who is mechanically inclined and has done these things on their own..
from the sounds of it, you just havent done this before and have made a simple mistake.
dont kick yourself too hard over it... we all have screwed up somewhere in our learning process...
just get some help from somebody who can do it with you to show you

I trust the soundengine cause he has a "10second street car on pump"(i bet its badass but 10s on pump? maybe 12s... hell even that fast) but i wanna make sure i cant reuse this fluid first ya know?

I'm sorry to say.,.. you should not be doing any of your own work on cars yet.
you have to physically remove the entire shifter from the trans mission to fill it up...and its not a simple easy thing to do or explain.
theres a plug on the side of the transmission that you have to remove and you normally fill it through that...or if you can get into the top..you can fill through the top till it drains out the plug...
why am I even telling you this...
right now.. you wont be driving your car to work in the morning unless you have some 5w30 motor oil laying around.
you must drain out all the fluid from your motor from the oil drain plug located in the oil pan.
once it has finished draining, you can put the plug back in and then you can fill the engine with 5.5qts of 5w30 motor oil
I highly doubt you even need the transmission fluid unless you have had the transmission out of the car and completely drained for some reason

its not that hard to do with a high compression 408ci motor (thats 6.7L)
lots of people on here do it all day long
mid 11's on a full bolt ons heads and cam LS1 346ci motor on slicks...with roughly 430hp to the rear wheels...
get to 500 and you are in the low 11's or high 10's depending on vehicle weight and traction. 550 and you are in the 10's no problems
Hell.. Texas Speed has an LS1 in the 9's on motor....

I explained everything you need to do above...
drain fluids from engine
refill to proper levels with proper fluids
do not try to do anything with the "III" fluid
do not add more than 5.5qts of oil
do not put anything other than Mobile1 5w30 Synthetic oil into the oil fill cap located on the front of the passenger side valvecover of the engine
do not try to add any other fluids to the engine.
last step.. take it to the dealer, let them service it
never do any of your own work ever again.

All i gotta say is i should subscribe to this!lmao! Once you drain everything id do some serious research into these cars. Not trying to be a dick but at least that way it will help you in the future if you decide to try and do things on your own ya know. These v8's aren't anything like those ricers. Good luck man.

Every vehicle that has a Motor in it(to exclude electric only vehicles)
has the following Fluids
Oil - used to lubricate internal engine parts
Coolant - used to draw heat away from the engine parts(with the exception of air cooled engines which use no coolant at all.. original VW beetle is a good example)
Transmission Fluid - typically Dexron/Mercron based Fluid
in cars with a manual transmission - Clutch Fluid - usually DOT3 or DOT4
Power Steering Fluid - says it right on the bottle
brake fluid - usually DOT3 or DOT4
for vehicles with an Air Conditioning system...AC Refrigerant - Gas when expaned, but a liquid under pressure
and of course.. Fuel...Gasoline/e10/e85/c16/methanol/alcohol

no.. its nowhere even close to what you just said there...
HAVE YOU HAD YOUR TRANSMISSION OUT OF THE CAR RECENTLY AND YOU JUST NOW PUT IT BACK IN?
IF NOT...YOU DONT NEED TO MESS WITH IT.
DO NOT TOUCH YOUR TRANSMISSION...
you need to do a lot more reading...
step away from the car....
call a tow truck
get your vehicle towed to a place that will service it for you..preferrrably a GM Dealership
and I have several friends that work in the service departments at dealerships... they do better work than a lot of other private shops do, and its always correctly done. I'd trust the GM service department over my friends any day
