Supercharged 346 Build Thread
This is what it currently has.
Stock LS6, (28,5XX miles) nothing on the engine has been changed
A&A Corvette Supercharger kit
42lb injectors
Procharger P1 with 3.85" pulley
KB BAP
LG long tube headers
Random Tech hi flow cats
GHL Bullet exhaust
Snow performance Methanol kit running 50/50 mix
Exedy triple disk clutch
Built tranny
stock 3.42 gears
Current setup made 657/562 SAE @ 8.5 psi with 21* of timing. It was in the 556 range uncorrected. Elevation is a bitch.
This is the start of my parts list, which I will begin to order once I get back from vacation in the next few weeks.
Callies 4" Crank- 383 c.i.
Callies H beam rods (6.125)
Wiseco forged pistons w/ steel top rings
Clevite H bearings for rods and mains
Durrabond Cam bearings
LS6 ported high volume pump
ARP head studs
ARP Main studs
Comp blower cam (brand and grind actually TBD)
Hardened pushrods
LS7 lifters
Patriot Gold valve springs
Dual roller timing chain with torrington bearings
60 lb injectors
Innovative west 8" balancer
Reichard Racing 3.XX blower pulley
Wide Band (brand TBD)
Billet torque tube bushings
Since I am going to stick with the P1, stock heads and intake I am going to keep the C.I. stock.
The things I am still working on (part of the TBD above)
Final compression ratio: 9.7:1 - 10.0:1 range
Fuel system components (retain BAP?, add fuel pump, larger lines, etc)
Cam brand and grind <-- big "unknown" and lots of opinions there)
Few notes:
I am spinning the blower around 51K RPM with the 3.85" pulley and stock balancer. I want to install the 8" balancer to help with belt wrap and also give me 2-3 psi. The plan is to probably also pulley down to around 3.4" which will spin it around 61,750 RPM. With the pulley and balancer swap I "think" I should see another 4-5 psi.
This is truly a street car, it weighs just under 3600 lbs with me in it (212 lbs) and the car weighed 31xx stock. Has a Mcintosh / Focal system, full dyna mat, 10" sub, etc. Last year it only made it too the track twice. I will take it a few times next year, but like I said, it's purpose is primarily a nice street car. I am also running iForged 19/20" wheels which I don't want to change out.
I am also in Colorado and see around 5K-6K ft of elevation, which might determine some things with the build, e.g. compression, cam specs, needed fuel system, etc. I do not have a hp "goal" set or in mind yet, although I've been told I will maybe make 700 and I've also been told that with the stock C.I, good cam, few more pounds of boost I could see 725-775. Time will tell and it is just a number anyway, along with the fact that I can only put down so much on the street, especially with my tire / wheel combo.
So, anyway, that is the plan and I'm sure over the next few weeks when I start ordering parts things will be added, changed and or modified.

too many options.
Unless the P1 runs out of steam before then.

Diamond -8.6cc pistons
K1 Tech Rods
Katech rod bolts
LS6 heads
10:1 comp
226/232 .598/.599 117lsa (Speed Inc grind)
ported LS6 intake
60lb injectors
ATI balancer (7.75 dia)
3.0 head unit pulley (seeing 13#'s @ 6000rpm)
Flip Drive (pulley slipped like crazy, picked up 2#'s just from this)
MikeP on this forum has a D1 w/ a 383, AFR 225 heads and the same cam as me. His car is putting down over 800+ to the tire.
I am happy the way mine turned out. Keeping the compression up keeps it peppy on the low end.

Now, all I am waiting on is the fuel system, which is on order along with hoping to get my P1 traded out for a D1 8- rib setup. Then just need to get a gasket kit, pushrods, wideband and that should get me about everything I need to get it going. We are hoping that I can get it to the machine shop in the next couple weeks.

With the 383, D1, larger cam, 12-14psi and a few other items it should be an animal.
