Default Need help finalizing cam choice!

Hey guys, i need a push in the right direction as Ive been in the market to swap out my comp 224/224 .581/.581 114. My car is a '00 WS6 M6 ls1 intake and untouched 241s stock 10bolt with 3:42. Current power numbers are 380/365.5 through random techs and LM1. I'm happy with the cam but im getting bored with it i want something bigger with more lope that 114 doesn't chop hard to me anymore not that it really did to begin with. Looking at these cams...

TSP Torquer 2 232/234 .595/.598 112
TSP Torquer 3 231/234 .643/.598 111
TSP 233/239 233/239 .595/.603 112
Speed Inc Si5 231/237 .589/.595 112
Pat G 232/234 .600/.602 112+4
Any suggestions?

I know theres countless threads on this and believe me I've read them all. Will there even be much noticeable difference from the 3 TSP cams and the Speed cam i listed? That T3 has a high intake lift and I've read in previous threads it can kill springs. I will be upgrading to PRC duals and have 7.4" PR's from my current cam that i will be measuring to see if i need another set. Future mods will be a FAST intake and as for heads those will be the last thing i do since they cost the most and right now i only have money for a cam. Im open to opinions whether negative or positive i just cant finalize my choice... Car sees 1-2K miles a summer i only insure her 6 months out of the year and want to start taking her to the track. Thanks again guys i look forward to hearing the responses!!

i run an older cam, the MTI X1 230/227. I honestly feel that i should have gone much bigger. I wish i would have gone with a 233/239 cam. that would be the biggest cam i would have gone for a daily driver street car.

Keep em coming. 99blu would those smaller durations be better? I don't wanna change my cam for just a few hps then the money spent doesn't seem worth it

Seeing that low end power is still important to you; yes!

Since you're using stock 241's, what about the old Predator reverse split 232/228 on 108lsa? Hard lope & plenty of low end.......https://ls1tech.com/forums/generatio...side-coin.html

I have 241s. Now but eventually will ditch those for an aftermarket set. Thunderstruck haha I know what u mean that's why I can't decide. I don't think there's gotta be much difference between the cams I listed

I'm really leaning 233/239 unless you guys have any downsides to that cam. When I eventually do heads will PtoV be a problem with this cam or the T3

Why not use/save the money for the supporting mods first like your intake, suspension work, or exhaust depending on what you have done. Especially since you already have a cam in the car. Why spend money where money has already been spent. You would see a lot more benefits getting the car breathing and hooking better then just upping your duration and maybe your lift a little bit.

Default Cam choice?

I have a 2010 6.0 hybrid that I am going to carb it with the MSD setup. I know I have to change a few things one of which is the cam. My question is what is the best one to use with the carb setup. I will be using the car for street/strip and would like to get 400-450 hp with a fairly smooth idler. It will be going in a 66 Nova.

Thanx,
B

ProMaro I will be adding a FAST intake a little bit after the cam upgrade and I do agree with you I've tossed the idea of saving for heads and keeping the cam but it will not get me to where I want to be hp wise (sound wise) even though that isn't everything it's still a deciding factor for me.
