Why not stick to a proven performer thats budget oriented?

Stock 5.3 pullout with rod bolts, all his stock Fbody dress, a decent cam (LS6 comes to mind)
Stock 4L80E pullout
67-75mm turbo with truck manifolds
DIY JY 8.8 rear

That should leave you with well over half your budget leftover even if you weren't deal shopping

Copy my car.
stock longblock, lifters, rockers, saves a bunch.
you don't need some fancy $3,200 fab9 rearend for 2500+ HP I see tond of guys buying on this site with street cars. you can get a used 12bolt for $1500, the quickperformace 9 for about 2K, or a new S60 for $2,200
auto is a huge help, I dont know much about it? stall, 3800-4000???? and 4;10s or 3;73 I see guys run. Keep 16 rims, with DRs you can get low 1.5s 1.4s is all you need and can do it on stock 16s with DR.
good bolts on. some kind of ram air for sure. you can get the car to 3200 and still be daily driver easy.
