Paul did you notice a big drop off in MPG with such a small cam? With driveability so close to stock I have always been curious how these EPS cams are affecting MPGs. I know the last thing I should be worried about is MPG when Im looking into cams and heads but I'm just curious.

W/ bigger cam, the engine will be moving more air in and out thus will require more fuel volume which equates to less desirable MPG as a result.

My city MPG really took a hit on this one while my highway MPG only minor differences.

Funny you should ask..

I just noted the mpg from my 1st full tank after the tune. It was about 50/50 highway/town driving and came out to 21mpg. I didn't think that was bad. BTW, not mentioned in my sig is that I've got 4.11 rear end gear.

I had the car back with the tuner on Saturday to touch up the low rpm surging when coasting. Of course, it didn't do it very much when he got in the car with his laptop. But he made a few changes and it seems better now.

Ahh but getting on a freeway on ramp is SUCH a BLAST!!!

Good to know. I rarely get my car on the highway. Its mostly around town or in the area. Before I bought my WS6 I took a Firehawk for a test drive and getting on the highway solidified me spending the money for an LS1..

I still have stock unported 241s. Budget is tight, so I'm doing it bit by bit.
Next step is to send these 241s to AI for their porting (best bang for the buck from what I hear)

BTW, I'm down in So. California right now. I think I'm the only car on the road with LTs & cam All these silent, emissions compliant cars... I'm the only one you can hear! hahaha

Hardly an Fbody on the road down here anymore. Just muffled up Challengers, Chargers, new Mustangs & new Camaros... all quiet as church mice.
