wait for a sale on the PRC 215/227 heads, they are 13.5 valve angle and they should work with out fly cutting.test your springs alot with the more radical cams.

Im hoping to get xmas money/xmas loan and be able to afford them while they are on sale. If i dont get enough ill buy the 227s/lifters/rockers/pump while the heads are on sale and wait and save for the cam. In the end im going to ditch my 92/92 setup and run a vic jr and accufab TB but thats long down the road

U will have to fly cut with the 227cc heads thats what I was gonna go with. Or it will be super close. I dunno though. Fly cuttings not that big of a deal

I just noticed he has aftermarket pistons so he wont need to cut the pistons.

we have the PRC 227 heads on crazy good specials right now! $250 off!

If your looking to save some $$ we can build you a Stage 2.5 LS6 head & give you the free upgrade to 2.04" intake & 1.575" exhaust valve for a max effort type setup. we can then mill to your specs!

Not to mention we're offering a big special on stock ported GM castings as well!!

If you need us to we can ship without spring kit & you can move yours over. Between not needing spring kit & the Christmas special I expect you'll be over $400 off our typical retail price!!

Give us a call if you'd like to discuss!

i would want new springs. The ones i have now have taken a beating and id rather just throw all fresh together now than have a spring go lazy on my in 4K miles or something.

I dont mind buying heads and everything now, and saveing and buying the cam mid january. Imma get the motor apart this week/weekend and then do my shopping. With the way its looking now ill be buying PRCs and adding the trex later. I have another car to drive so letting the SS sit an extra month is no big deal

wow inflation haha, used to be $999 for the porting and springs but you supply the head...

TEA was around 1200 with supplied core iirc...dunno since it was been over a year when I was looking at head options...

Definitely might be best to give us a call! We have huge specials going on right now & the PRC heads are proven performers. We sell the fully assembled heads brand new for right at the $1050 mark!!

We can get you smaller chambers & stock p/v so you clear your T-Rex with stage 1 LS6 heads, or the PRC 215s!

i will def want a more "max effort" type of head.

Like i have said before if i have to cut the pistons so be it, but i would prefer not too. Im pulling the motor saturday, and will have it out of the car and make everything easier. If i have to have the motor on a stand for a month till i can afford to put the new cam in i will but im not going to miss out on the PRC sale lol. This car has been broken so ****** much im to the point im either going to build it right and take my time doing it or sell it as a roller

I have sleeved 347 with fully built bottom end, morel link bar lifters (now lol) yella terras and a ported fast 92.

Ive never seen a h/c trex setup that i can remember. Im sure some trickflows or big AFRs will work, but id like some experience in here to help me. I didnt have to cut my pistons for the MS4 and would like to keep it that way, but will if i absolutely have to while the motor is currently out of the car.

Post your results and setups with your TRex
What were your track times compared to the guys with the TREX? And were they pulling you the whole track or just top end?

Comparing cars takes the driver into account. I'll do you one better. Bring both camshafts & I'll let you test them on the engine dyno side by side. No marketing BS no theories on bigger is better, just the engine dyno & both camshafts telling you exact power numbers across the rpm band.

Last time out on the 4.10s my car went 11.5 so i know that i know how to drive my car, im talking more about 40-120 freeway pulls where you take the driver OUT of the equation

I thought you guys were going to do this camshaft test a long time ago...

ms4, polluter, g5x4, trex etc and end the debate

also wasn't there a same cc heads size comparison promissed too...

would answer a ton of questions...and also show the leader of the pack
