Default Torrington bearing and JP double roller

I searched but there isn't much information on this subject... I purchased the JP double roller with the torrington bearing, and I'm not sure which face of the bearing goes against the roller and which against the cam plate. Theres a black face and a metal face. I'd get pictures but no camera.... anyone know what I'm talking about? thanks

Mine was installed with the black face against the cam plate. My slp double roller chain setup cam with the bearing with the black face pointing towards the cam retainer plate.

look at the back of the gear, and how the bearing fits. One side of the bearing has the inside hole rolled, the other side has the outside rolled. The bearing faces the way it fits over the hub on the gear the holds it centered. Look at that close and it will make sense the way is gose.
