If you haven't purchased them yet, I actually have an extra set of Comp hardened 7.325 pushrods.

Guys if my ls6 heads were shaved down .030 and I'm running a .051 mls gasket, what would my cc volume be?

Since its been said that the ls6 valley pan helps reduce oil consumption does that mean it is evacuating crankcase pressure less?

Heres another one. I mean the valves are hitting the clay but just barely. And I think im using to much clay on top of that.

Cut the clay and see how much clearance between valve and piston

No, the pressure is relieved equally. It's just done differently.

Intake left/Exhaust Right. I cut the whole clay in half for each valve to measure its lowest point, but I dont have a damn caliper.

I did some measuring with a digital caliper on my clay impression. It seems that all my measurement for intake and exhaust are over .200. But the thing is, I did these clay impressions without check springs. How much can piston to valve clearance be off if your not using check springs?

Ive been trying to figure this ptv clearence thing. I have got good results using check spring and my regular springs, but people are telling me to pull out my liters to install solid lifters. Professionals have told me its not necessary. I got the valley cover from scoggin dickey.

yeah see with no oil pressure and full weight valve springs the lifters wont pump up so youre compressing the lifter instead of pushing the valve down. If you can find out the total lifter plunger travel you could add that to the PTV clearance. your numbers are too good to be true. thats probably better than stock lol

oh btw if doesnt really matter how much clay you use as long as you can get a nice cross section when you cut it
