Alright another 6.0 build
I am relativly new to this engine combo stuff. So help me if i mess up somewhere. Thanks guys...So here we go.
2003-2005 Lq4
Stock bottom end w/ ARP bolts
5.3 un-ported heads w/ LS1 valves
roughly 11:1 CR
Ported FAST90/90
G5X3 Cam
LT's & true duals
Some help now.
what size injectors?
hows that cam?
what about roller rockers? Can i use stock ones?
I want to run a Wet 150 shot.
I want to run on 93 octane
What fuel pump?
And Anything else you guys want to throw in. I need help to make sure its a decent combo. Ive seen one just like this build make almost 400 rwhp n/a and with n20 ran mid 10's.
Anyhelp is much appreciated

I'm thinking more around the 65 lbs. 95 just seems like a bit much. but its deffinatly worth the weight. And the main reason i want the 6.0 is because ive seen nice numbers great curves in power and I'm planning on getting a roller. So mainly is because i want a roller without the engine. And I'd rather a 6.0=P

Not sure about your head choice, 5.3 heads have smaller valves then LS1s and flow for **** so with no porting just slapping the bigger valves in doesn't sound very reasonable, but other then that I'm running something similar. I went with stock LS1 heads with a little clean-up port work and machined them down to bump compression (about 10.5:1). I'm running 37.5lb injectors so in my f-body at 58psi they're about 42lb/hr, Walbro 255 has been enough for the engine and 150 wet shot of nitrous. My car has gone as fast as 10.65. I also have the stock LS1 rockers and a less desirable Weiand intake. Car made 508rwhp.

Thats not how I understand it, that isn't something I have seen done but I don't think you can just swap valves without machining the seats and it would still have smaller runners. They don't flow anywhere close, if you're refering to aftermarket companies that put bigger valves in a 5.3 head they start with a raw casting and completely rework it.

I'm not 100% sure. but ive seen a guy put almost 400 rwhp with this combo and thats around what i want and with the 150 shot he ran a 10.5 1/4 at 131. not too bad. Im not sure but i like the fact the heads are cheap and bump the compression and make decent power so We will see!

500 bucks i can get new 5.3 heads. Either way i think im sticking with the 5.3's. not the best not the worst. and cheap. and im looking at a budget build. need to start somewhere. with the 5.3's i should be around 375 to 400 rwhp 350-385 ft lbs of torque. Which for a kid that will be 19 when its done. its not bad...a mid 10 second car with N20 =D
