From what I am gathering, EPS cams have the best broad curve of any I have seen.

Nice I like what I'm seeing, a little bit of everything. But I looks like it might be EPS and the Trex.

Not gonna lie, this thread is full of bad info. You need to figure out exactly what YOU want to do and then have a respected cam guru spec out a cam for YOU.

Asking what cam makes the best numbers is just asking for horrific responses.

I think Geoff from EPS actually designed the Trex.

I started this thread just to get an idea on what people are using and seeing what they got out of there cam. I know it has to do with set up and what I want, but to get an average of what people have is a good idea. I'm not just going to say " hey that guy has this cam this is what I want " it's just an idea of what's out there. And yes, I'm going to talk to someone about a cam on what I want to do.

So do tell Money...since when were you in the market for a cam? Why you holding out on telling us local guys? You must want to be able to keep up with all us this next summer EPS cam for the win bro! I netted 55rwh with mine, easy on the valve train and the drivability is great. I will be out your way this coming Sunday to sell my lid to David..we should hook up and I can take you for a spin with the EPS cam and Fast combo. Give me a call bro.

Just giving you crap. I will let you know what time I'm heading that way. I was thinking maybe meeting David at the Woodburn Outlet Mall. Maybe we could all do lunch there.

i would have maybe went with a custom cam with simaler duration and a lil less lift maybe. the high lift is great for street manners but hard on the valve train.

you should let me ride in your car todd and you can ride in mine ill show ya what the donkey dick is all about lol

i have not been in a bunch of different cammed ls cars but so far i would have a hell of a time not buying a TREX cam.
if your gonna just do CAM,intake, exhaust, injectors and a tune i would say TREX hands down.
its made a believer out of me.

i have seen that cam beat down alot of other cars locally, that made more power on the "DYNO"
car runs 11.70s n/a

I also say it depends on set up and what the intended use is mainly for the car... drag racing a big cam car requires a high stall and decent gears... back in the day many ls1 cars went high 11s with 220s grinds and smallish 2800 verts on stock gears. A mid sized cam like f13,tv2 etc are more popular then said cams for all around specially if its a daily driver. Proper set up is key.

I would only do the T-rex if your a pretty avid drag racer and make it to the track enough times to make a big cam like that worth doing.

And or if you just want every car on the street to shiver when your car pulls up next to them.

As far as street driving as long as you have a good tune. I have no trouble driving my car anywhere I want to go.

I daily drove a Trex in my 99 camaro...
daily driver, full interior and Air conditioning..
M6, stock 10 bolt 3.42's
Drove like stock... Just need a good tune on it.

Though any of those cams listed.. will require you to change the valvesprings every 10k~15k miles....
some springs may make it longer, but its not worth the risk.
and all cams should be double springs, even though some work just fine with singles(the ones you listed should all use a double spring).

Yeah I do want that sound where it's going to die..lol.. I don't really care about daily driving cause I know I'll have a car that sounds badass, and performs good as well... I will do the double spring like you said. It's better to be safe then sorry, right?.
