im lookin for a ls1 with a stock ls6 cam so far havnt found any

I know my Z06 with the stock cam had a smooth idle, nothing that drew attention ... no lope or anything.

yeah, i dont think your going to have a real difference in sound between the stock ls1 cam and the stock ls6 cam. both are pretty smooth sounding.

correct me if im wrong but an LS6 is just an LS1 with 243 heads lighter valves and the LS6 cam (plus a few subtle differences). sticking an LS6 cam in is just a cheap way to get an LS6. Youll just probably have some valvetrain issues at high rpm without heavier valve springs

why would you wana hear a nearly stock cam like the ls6? not bein a dick i just dont know why you would wana hear that?

haha an LS6 cam is stock.......in an LS6 lol. Obviously its legitimately designed to sound "stock"

ya i know its stock in a ls6, i guess i just assumed that he wanted to hear one in a ls1. either way it would sound stock as stock gets

yeah seriously. sry i was overstating the obvious so bad I came across as a dick. I just thought it was funny. Wanna hear what it will sound like? seriously you can walk outside and crank your car up. thats exactly what it will sound like

well my buddy had am ls6 long block of sumthin put in his 2001 ta when he blew the ls1 and it had very mild lope and i wanted to see if it was an ls6 cam or not

nope definitely not. it had something in it or the tuning was off and made it sound like it. LS6 cams sound totally stock
