Lq4 rebuild questions.
I am buying a completely tore down lq4 on Wednesday, and am needing a few questions answered.
Everything is included with the motor, but since the motor is tore down I think it would just be wise to rebuild it.
First question, is where can I find a rebuild kit decently priced?
Since this will be my first complete engine rebuild, does anyone have any links to where I can see a complete rebuild on this motor, or even LS1/LS2?
Also what some good material to use to rebuild the motor, such as a book, or a dvd.
Thanks allot.

So what are some recommend rebuild kits?
Edit: Didn't know the past tense of "scar" was spelled with two "r's".

I think you have to use the LS1 crank.

Plus I've did a rough price mock up last night, I am looking at $6,000.
I am buying the motor tomorrow, so I am going to give it a good look over. And then start ordering parts.
But see my main problem is not being able to find **** in a kit.
But to double check, will all of these bearings work?
Main Bearings
Rod bearings
Cam Bearings
Also whats a good gasket kit, I do not want cheap gaskets.
gaskets depend on the pistons too...if you deck your heads you will need a diff. thickness/better gasket with flat top pistons...but if you leave them in your comp. will be around 9:5:1 i think....also cnc motorsports has good prices too!!!
