Can you drive a v3 cam with a stock stall my friend said I could for right now until I get a real stall. Cause my motor is out

Need more info then that. Which V3 cam are you talking about? Cam specs? I dont know of many V3 cams that would be stock stall friendly unless its the Cheater V3 by Thunder or something like that

itll be fine it just when you take off its gonna seemlike barely any power from a stop/idle but its fine but i reccomend anything from 3000 too 4400 stall with your cam

stock stall is about 1800 rpm.you will need a tune.are you installing the needed springs and push rods?it is alot easier to install a converter with the engine and tranny out.

You should go ahead and get another TC with a higher stall right now. I picked up a TCI 3500 for about 500 new and it worked fine with my old cam, which is similar to the V3.

We typically don't recommend putting that much cam in an auto without a converter. Driveability will be bad with out one. It will try and die when you put it in gear and will be pushing through the brakes at idle. I would save up some extra cash and put one in while you are doing the other mods. Also, I didn't see where you said above, but you MUST install springs and pushrods with that cam!

oh yea i have push rods and springs imma just get the cirlcle d stall for 396 for right now
