Recently there was a thread on here about most power w/manifolds
and 1 of the N.A. combos had 403rwhp from stock 243 heads(918springs)
on a ls1 in some old streetrod that had to use Fbody manifolds to clear
I believe the EPS cam was 218/230 @ 115ls.....no cats & 2.5 true duals
w/Flowmaster muffs (tune was spot on) but the homemade airbox looked
very restrictive leading to the ls6 intake again to clear the radiator

I never said anything about lT headers..

If you were talking about shorties then, they provide almost no gain over 02' stock manifolds from everyone I've discussed this with.

Yeah a Procharger would be nice if you could drop 8k on parts and labor/tuning.

I don't have that fundage, was just looking for decent power for a daily driver for $2500.

Thank you for posting that up. Not too many vids if any at all of cammed LS1's through manifolds.

I wonder if I had a similar cam if it would sound louder through my GMMG catback.

You could send them to Extrude Hone... Other than that I see no other options for you as far as that part of your exhaust goes.

Yeah and I'm fine with keeping it with the stock manifolds. I am losing power but I have heard a LT headered GMMG car and for daily driving it is way too loud for my liking.

I think the cam through manifolds and the GMMG will be loud enough and provided enough power to get in the 12's with average shifting prowess and traction.

Just wondrin' do C5 manifolds fit F-bodies. I'm waiting on an EPS stick that
I plan to dyno and tune (cam only....literally). Then later maybe change to
headers however right now I love the way it sounds w/ Corsa cat back
and honestly these manifolds are try Y's and look to flow pretty well

No problem. Once you get into the higher RPMs it gets loud, but Im pretty happy with it right now.

If you want to stay legal in California then a 224 114 lsa cam is was you are looking for. The cam I have is EPS 222/226 114 lsa

224/224 114LSA puts the overlap at -4. It may be able to pass, but only with a GOOD tune. I was originally going to get an EPS cam spec'd, but found a deal on the cam below...

My [hopefully] smog-legal (i.e. passes the sniffer/visual) route is:
'01 LS1
Forged Diamond Racing -8.6cc dished pistons w/valve reliefs
Coated piston tops with heat rejection coating
Coated piston skirts with antifriction coating
Forged steel Lunati rods
Balanced/polished stock crank
218/230 .605/.605 115+2 cam w/XFI lobes, degreed on install
Patriot .660" dual springs
Milled 241 heads (otherwise stock, to compensate for the dished pistons)
10.3:1 static compression
JBA CARB legal shorty headers
LS6 intake manifold
Stock P&P throttle body
Descreened MAF
Blackwing lid or Suncoast Ram Air Box

If AFR 205's were in my price range, I would have gone with those as well since they flow well and have a CARB EO # on them.

Setup is not running yet. Hope to get it running and tuned by the end of this month, if not sooner. Hoping for at least 350 to the wheels through my A4 with BDR 2200 stall converter. Made 315hp/330tq before tune/engine build/shorties/converter.
