That is good to here. Hopefully there are a few others that will share some long term usage. It just helps to confirm how good they are on the LSx motors. Although, I have not seen one report of them failing on one of our motors and I have done a fair amount of searching. Has anyone heard of a failure on one of our (LSx) motors??

I've got a set of the 1518's with a little over 5000 miles on em. Mostly street but a few blasts to 6400 rpm's.

No issues at all.

No but talked to a vendor that had issues with them but PAC was suppose to be taken care of it. I want some but might hold of for a month or get some psi springs

I just wonder if everyone is checking for coil bind and install height like they are supose too that are breaking these springs. Or are they running to close to coil bind? I am getting ready to build a 383 LT1 for a freind and we are going to use the comp behives in it.

I thought about the PSI's too but did not like the significant increase in pressure. At .625 they are almost 45 lbs more than the PAC's, if I remember correctly. Granted, it would be a no brainer if the PAC's had failure problems on the LSx motors. I have read a couple reports of guys using heavier springs (usually duals) and having the revs come up 500 or so rpms shorter than when they changed to a lighter spring, so it does eat up some HP...how much is the ??. I would think that we would have heard of any LSx PACs breaking with them being so common on here.

I have read of more Comp failures than PAC...even with the new revised Comp springs.

Something happened to the last two months of production. Those were the ones recalled the one before that are ok. If you got some in the last couple months you better call pac.

PSI maxlife beehives have a media surface enhancement that smooths the
wire to reduce imperfections which could cause cracks and it helps the oil
drain off faster removing heat to extend spring life. These were designed
originally for ls stockcar racing (ASA) used by Lingenfelter and Wegner Racing
when they had the GM account. I've heard they last forever even w/today's
more aggressive lobe profiles. FWIW @370 lbs open .625 lift...if your cam has
.610 theoretical lift....factoring in deflection....a dial indicator would show the
retainer is only moving .590 and springs usually lose some pressure after a few
heat cycles so you'ld end up @ around 320-325 open pressure.

While any warranty on springs is ultimately handled by the manufacturer, Texas Speed will gladly go to bat for any of our customers that has any issues with springs or other parts in an effort to make sure the customer is taken care of and happy in the end!

PAC's phone number is 866-799-9417, I purchased a set two months ago, havent fired up engine yet but called PAC my batch was cleared but the Tech did say they had two batchs that went out that are in question so if you purchased 1518's since Dec give them a ring/CYA.
To the OP THANKS for the heads up!!!!!!!.........Paul
