More importantly (or at least as important as max valve lift), what installed height are they set at?

I think most spring breakage threads you find are due to improper install not manufacture defect. But yes even dual springs break, a quick search will pull up lots of threads about it.

I only know that my batch number had problems. Sent them to PAC today. Hope to get the replacements next week.

What would be a good install height for a 610 lift. 230 239 on 112 be in a sodium valve ls6 with ti retainers. I would hate ro defeat my purpose with duals if I didn't have to

^^^^^^^It is best to measure and shim to .060 from coil bind. Some will cut it as close as .050...

It must just be due to jack legs not checking install height and for coil bind then, there may be threads about dual springs breaking but at least you have a better chance of the valve not dropping with the dauls.

Spoke to Matt at Pac as i have this same batch, was told that it was only the Oct batch that had issues. The number 82310 is the date, so am happy now.

It's not the batch number thats the issue but the date made, 23rd Aug is ok, October is the suspect date.

Why Paul57 had his exchanged or was told different i don't no! Was his just replaced incase by TSP maybe.

Just re-read Paul57s post....Is Matt at PAC confused here or has something changed for him to one minute say this whole batch-manufacture number is crook to one guy then say it's all good to another!!!!

To clearify things up, I forgot to ask him his mfg date on the box. It was a mistake by me. Anything before oct is good to go. I appologize for the confusion everyone.

FWIW, I hope PAC doesn't have an issue w/ the 1518's. I've installed 2-3 sets within the past few months.
Hello Damian, where can i buy those PSI 1511?
any of the sponsor carry them?
Thanks

I just had a PAC 1518 failure. I bought a set of used L92 heads with them on them. Seller said they only had about 1k miles on them. They were very clean.

My engine ran ok for about almost an hour after first starting it. Then I had a noise and found a broken spring just like in the pictures!

This sucks

That does suck!! Are you able to ask the seller if he has any purchase info on the springs...to see if they are part of the bad batch that was referred too?? Did you let the motor get up to a decent temp before winding it up??
