Sorry to dig up old dirt guys, but was wondering if you could help me.

I am using a CTS-v pan and it calls for the blue o-ring. However, when I put the tube into the pump, it takes no effort and there is no resistance. Is this normal? Do I just need to tighten it to make it seat?

I have read that you will feel it "pop" in but I definitely don't feel anything like that.

I hate to tell you this but if you can't figure out where that oring should be YOU SHOULDN"T BE IN THERE!

Picture #1 in POST #1. With the o-ring placed as in pic #1, the metal ring underneath will press the o-ring firmly and evenly against the oil pump housing.
Choosing pic #2 will cause loss of oil pressure, because then, you will have the metal ring on the pickup tube as your seal.
