Looking to put in a new Cam!!!
Well i have full bolt ons and im looking for a cam to go in next. I was told all i would need is just springs and a cam the rest of the stuff is not needed. Either way im looking for 400+rwhp. Want it to idle properly but looking for a good amount of power. Any suggestions on what cam? also how much is labor usually? thanks in advance for any advice.

by idle properly what exactly do you mean? choppy or not choppy? is it a daily driver or weekend toy?
you can achieve the 400hp mark with a smaller cam than the ms3. but if you are looking for all out peak numbers and performance than that would be a good cam for ya. since you already have 4:10's the loss of low end wont be much of a problem. if this is a daily driver i wouldnt go any bigger than the torquer v2, but thats just an opinion.

what pound injectors do i need? is 30 ok? also is the MS3 more aggressive then the torquer v2? this is my daily driver and i dont mind the idle not being smooth i understand with a more aggressive cam it will lope even with a good tune. Also how much labor cost on something like this, i know it varies but is 400-500 labor a good price?

I'd say have them with you when you get your car tuned. If there getting maked out throw them in. Semms like some H/C cars are fine with the 28.8# and some cam only cars are maxed out from what I've read. I seem to remember TSP saying you're usually good till 450rwhp though.

Whats a good spot to get a cam, springs and rods all together. My mechanic keeps telling me i dont need rods but you'll never know ill just buy them anyway. Im gonna work on getting him down to 350-400 on labor if i can. I think im gonna go with a MS3 since its one of the best cams for what im looking for and lots of people have had good experiences with them.

hotrodth, Thanks man. Its either doing this or getting a trifecta tune for my wifes cruze lol. That tune alone is 565 including the cable for the cruze, its just too damn slow and wouldnt mind a little more power.
