I am no cam expert but those are the specs I have finally came up with after talking to a few people. I dont drive my car every day just maybe once a week
I am hoping this shop thats going to port my heads can get them to flow 340cfm@600 lift. Should I go with a higher lift to take advantage of the head?
and would going to 256/260 make more power then 252/256?
I am really trying to make 510-530rwhp
with dual cut outs
thanks

Although i'm no cam expert, I think that CAM will kick some serious *** and you will be very pleased with it! I will probably go with something like that after the MTI warranty expires on my C5R based 427 motor in a year or so!
BEST OF LUCK!!!

Stroked if you're going to go that big and only drive your car once a week I'd got with a solid roller and have the heads peak at a .650". It'd make more power and be more streetable.

That cam is way over kill. Unless you are doing a 12.5-1 compression motor that much duration is not going to benefit you. Besides that the drivability will suck. These are not sbc motors, and bigger is not always better. Talk about p-v clearance... I hope you have some huge valve reliefs. Not trying to be a downer but I just think the huge cam is of less benefit with the larger displacement motors as the intake/ heads begin to be a restriction. Why not just jet up another step and make the power off the spray while maintain decent drivability. Just my .02

I called Cam Motion for a cam for a solid roller'd 398. Told them I wanted to spin it up to 7500. The cam on the way is a 248/256/664/668 112. it's going in on a 108. With the lash, this cam will come in around 620 lift. It should make some mad power...I hope The last Mustang in my sig has a little solid roller in it, damn that car PULLS up top, it has a 252/262 dur cam in it. IMO, if you can afford it, the solid cam is the way to go! This car is very tame on the street.
As long as you have the heads to support it, you can run a pretty good cam. I have some 6.0l heads that will be getting 2.05 valves and some more port work. They flow 306@.600 now, so he should be able to get close to 320 out of them. Yelvi will be porting them, sorta an unknown on here.

I know bigger isnt always better but I figure I would try it out and hope for the best. I dont want to mess around with the solid roller, I dont really want to rev the motor over 6,800.
P-V shouldnt be a problem with the pistons I got.
Now about my valvetrain... I am hoping that either PP gold dual springs will do or crane duals with titainum retainers of course, comp cams push rods, and "maybe" stock rockers.
Can I run stock rockers with this set up?
I was talking to someone yesterday and they told me this cam I speced is more of a nitrous cam and that I wouldnt make that much power on motor
I thought nitrous cams were just split pattern with 114LSA kinda like this
224/234 .563/.573 114 LSA. This guy said that higher duration mean nitrous cam? I am kinda lost there?

thats what I thought but was kinda lost on what he was saying.
Well I was going to go with GTP or A.S S3 heads but decided to go with Race-Prep's S3 6.0L heads
they have been getting 330-340cfm @600lift for a few years now
there kinda pricey but seem to be worth it

i would go with a cam that has at least 262 duration on exhaust if you want 252 on the intake. It has alot to do with cylinder pressure once nitrous oxide and air/fuel charge ignites in the cylinder. lots of pressure when it does, so longer exhaust duration helps(some what similar to forced induction).
