Default Cam or N2o ???

Ok heres the situation, I already have the cam and pushrods all I need is the valve springs to go ahead with my cam swap but after everything is all said and done i won't have the extra $$$ to chunk up for a tune so I may have to drive it untuned for a couple weeks. A buddy of mines has a Nitrous Express wet kit that I can get for $200 bucks including everything i need and I planned on spraying either 75-100 shot on stock tune. So just needed some opinions or some suggestions on which way would you guys go, cam or spray ???

I'd get the nitrous now, then save up for the valve springs and tune, then do the tune. best of both worlds

Buy the nitrous kit & save for more down the road for a good job.

I would save and do both at the same time. Labor and tune time really adds up!
You will for get all about the extra 3-4 months wait when you hit the switch >)I did all my stuff at different times and end the end I had to pay for 3 tunes! That would have went along way towards another mod!

There's a lot more to a proper n20 system than just the kit. You need to be able to pull some timing back, you will need a bottle heater, a purge solenoid, a remote bottle opener is a nice option, its not hard to top $1000 to do it right.

this^

is it a plate system or a universal? i would suggest grabbing a 78mm plate from n2o outlet, a bottle heater, and a bottle opener. then before you spray it have it dyno tuned. you will also need to swap out your stock plugs for tr6's.

I have the g5x2 cam. I would love to do both at the same time but i'm gotten the go faster fever. I mean for a pretty much stock car I go to the track and bust a 12.5/12.6 on slicks which is pretty good for a car on stock tune, but i wanna get into that low 12 high 11 range badly. And see the good thing about the kit is that it's not going anywhere because he has two so I could always have it on standby.

be patient. trying to do everything ASAP and on a small budget will kill your car faster than anything. just cool your jets a little and take a look at the bigger picture. take your time and do everything right.

save your money, peice together a plate system like i said before, and then finish grabbing the few extra things you need for your cam kit. take it all to the shop at one time, have them install it all and tune it all in one swoop. your over all labor bill will be cheaper. (or install everything yourself then have it tuned all at once) either way it will pay to be patient.

btw i hope i you have a savings fund set up for when that rear end pops. and iiwy i'd replace the timing set and oil pump when doing the cam swap.
