Help P/V clearence and push rod length problem!!
I hope my stupid polish *** didn't ruin my new set of heads. I was checking P/V clearence with clay and me being a dumbass started to put the rockers on the #1 cylinder when it was @TDC without the mounting piece that they all sit on. I torqued it down and relized before I turned the motor over what I had done. I pulled the rockers off and put them on correctly and proceeded to finish with the p/v check. I pull the head and find a small little what looks like a scratch in the piston. I thought about it and did the test again and it was fine. Is this scratch or nik from my valve going to hurt anything??? I looked over the valves and can see nothing, not even where contact was made. I did this again with retesting to be safe one the number 3 cylinder torquing the rockers down as if they were the number 2 I have no excuse for my stupid doings but damn dont ever talk to a hot girl from school while working on you engine! I will post a pic of the scratch. It looks like nothing I was just worried about my new heads! I better get some *** from this chick now

Thanks alot! Thats what my dad said also. One more? what pushrods to use. My cam is the Cartech S2 224/228 13.9 LSA and centerline. I don't have a cam card but the lift was like 586/592 and has a +4 advance ground into it My heads are 5.3 milled .015

just use a stock length pushrod...the cam is probably .030" smaller on the base circle and the heads are milled .015"...so using a stock length will be fine..also if it hase a 114 LSA and 4 degrees advanced..its on 110 degree intake centerline

Those chicks will get you in trouble every time!
You should be fine but there is the posibility of a bent valve more so than piston damage. If you torqued the rockers bolt to 22 pounds I doubt you have any damage. That's not a terrible amount of load. If you are concerned you could run a leak down check. If the heads are still off the car then check the valve on a dial indicator.
