you are going to want more exhaust split because you have plenty of power getting in there (nitrous) but you want to draw the air out so you want to have more exhaust duration to get the air out. you also want to keep the lsa tight so the overlap is down so there is less bleeding of the nitrous.

So something like a 230/236 then? The LSA can stay around 113/114.

yeah something more in that direction would be more ideal imo. Im also not sure how much clearance you will have because of your heads so you may need to flycut with that cam.

yeah man not a problem.

Personally; knowing that you have good compression which nitrous loves, a cam that is a good jump up from stock and will work pretty well with nitrous, and that you will have to pull your heads and flycut to run a larger cam most likely. I would say its not worth it to go through all that and gain maybe 20 horsepower for all that work. I would just run a little bigger jet for the n2o.

Well the most I want to run nitrous wise is a 100 shot. I'm trying to get every little ounce of power out of my stock motor (40,384 miles on the motor/car) before starting an engine build for boost lol

I found a cam that is close to the one Cause4Panic posted that has caught my eye:

If you have this cam: "Patriot 225/229 .580/.590 114+4 LSA Cam"
Thats is good enough for Nitrous. Unless you dont mind spending the hours and money working on your car, a 232 cam isnt going to give you much difference at all. Especially if your staying with a 114LSA Which is a good decision. Estimated RWHP gains from going from a 225 cam to a 232 Might be about 5-8RWHP. Something to think about.

I do have that cam. When/if I change cams I will go to a 113 LSA. I'm still undecided on whether or not I want to change cams as of yet. Trying to figure out where my money is better spent in the long run. Indecisiveness and never being happy with my power always kicks my butt.

I know you have that cam. I just copied and pasted it to my post. But what I am saying is that unless your going with a "MS3 or MS4" "STYLE" cam(as far as duration) I wouldnt change your cam. I would spend the money on gears or a great TNT Kit.

I went from a patriot 225/229 to a 236/244 in my 6 liter and it made a huge difference in the seat-o-meter. That patriot cam has lazy lobes, that were designed to work with Patriot's shitty springs. I would definatly upgrade.

Ah okay so somewhere close to where I am. Did you have any issues with ptv clearance after fly cutting?

No, I do have fly cuts though my new cam didn't require them. It would have been fine with just the lq4 dish.
