Is the tsp 231/237 to big to get for a 3500 stall
well i was getting ready to order it and he said it might not work well. That got me thinking im glad he said something if thats to big what should I look into?really wanting that cam for the spray.to many choices
Runing 231/237 with Yank ST3500 only problem is at crusing between 36-41 mph ( AFTER tc locks up and I slow down to cruse at these speed) I get a bit of jerking and stumble, HOPE to fix with edit - cam idle rich but will idle smooth at 700 rpm

i dont drive the car much, so i wont be beating up on the springs all the time as if it were my daily driver.

My man that would be too thin of a line to walk for me. It's a small price to pay for dual springs compared to a total lower end rebuild. Don't ya think?

i agree, but i really dont want to change the springs on the car and i pretty much have to pull the motor to take the heads off since i have head studs.
looks like something less radical will have to be ordered.
I would have to say I think that would be the lowest stall i would use for that cam. Ofcourse you will get better performance with a 4000 or so stall but I think you will be fine. You can always upgrade ina couple months when you have the extra loot laying aroud.
Let us kow how it feels

I think you will be fine. Lets face it with that converter you will never be under 4700rpm except for the first 30ft. Im sure you will have no problem roasting the tires, nittos or not with that cam.The low end TQ on a stalled A4 is insane

This is tru but I think he would want a minimum to say a 5300 on shift extension. I think optimal is 800-1200 under your shift point. Anything lower the car drops off a bit on the shifts. I would figure his shift point would be atleast 6500 rpms with that cam.
