Are you SURE there's no oil getting there?
I've never really seen a LOT of oil puddled up in a cylinder head...and even at idle with a valve cover off (if you can still plug in your coils...be careful) you usually don't see much oil flow up there at all until you rev the engine up a bit...at which point it will make a mess.
