Patriot Stage II 59cc with 227/235 comp cam
I need to know if I will have any PTV issues with this setup:
Stock LQ4 short block (-6.5cc dish pistons)
Patriot Stage II 59cc 243 heads
0.041 head gasket
227/235 .614/.621 113 +4
Even though the stock LQ4 pistons are 6.5cc dished but I don't think that they have valve reliefs. So, I don't know how many CC's of clearance the flat 6.5cc dish can be counted for if you understand what I mean.
My pistons look similar to those on this thread

I think you need to measure your clearance to be sure. There are just too many things that have changed clearance on this setup for anyone to tell you whether it will clear or not. If someone does they are just taking a wild guess, IMO. The heads have ~.030" milled and then the gasket is ~.013 thinner then stock, so you have given up a decent amount of clearance there. I would definitely measure it to be safe.

Thank you John for your feedback. I know that there are many factors to consider but I need to know if there is any benefit of the LQ4 dish pistons in terms of PTV clearance because I think that those -6.5cc pistons are useless and have minor advantage in terms of PTV clearance !
Will that cam fit with a stock MLS gasket?
