Hey thanks for all the compliments gents. Hopefully I will take it for the maiden voyage tomorrow afternoon. Im trying to finish up a few minor items before I work tonight. I just finished installing the gauge cluster (looks great) and did an oil change after the 3 heat cycles. The oil came out clear, so that makes me quite happy.

I have got to get it tuned, it stalls whenever it tries to return to idle. Hopefully i will be able to get out and cruising soon. i still have a few non engine related mods to get done as well...

Yup, adjusting the running idle airflow table will fix that nicely. Big cams pulling very low idle vacuum need the extra IAC air...ghetto fix used to be drilling the hole in the butterfly oversize but software is the best approach.

Its been brought up to drill the throttlebody blade. But I would rather not, I agree that tuning would be the best. With everything I have done upto this point, I would rather not ghetto rig the rest of the build.

There is a set screw under the throttle can that is used for a closed throttle stop, turn it in about 3/4- 1.5 turns and it will bill your idle up till you get the car tuned....I think its a 7/32" Allen head

Take advice from the guy who blew up his engine following his own advice (RTV silicone on the cam plate seal) at your own peril.
