My wallet says PP 5.3's, but the side of me that says just spend the big money says AS 5.3's.

At 500 lift ...my AS heads flowed about 10cfm more and at 600..the flowed about 13 more

Actually the way I read it is that he wanted to compare heads on the same machine where all things equal (or close) which would be a fair comparison. I'd like to see the numbers myself.

I'm in a good position to comment.. as I had Jay's Stage 2 heads (purchased 11/17/02) and even with a fairly agressive cam I only managed 414hp/382tq.

To be fair with Jay, he did offer to replace them.. but I really didn't want to do another head swap just yet. I raced one year but really didn't get spectacular ET's or MPH, and decided to go with a N20 "NOSzle" setup.

After tearing down my motor for a new forged setup, I had the Absolute Speed heads flowed at an independent machine shop.

The blue pencil are the actual numbers, which didn't surprise Jay..

He actually called the heads "garbage" and we decided to swap them out.. and he spent an entire weekend doing a set of new Stage 2 5.3 heads, and they were flowed on his new bench.

They were flowed at:

200_149
300_206
400_254
450_273
500_289
550_302
600_308

In my book, this is exceptional service on the part of Jay.

I also think that Terry @ PP should also be given some latitude and shouldn't be getting all the flak he has been getting.. as he strikes me as someone who will provide the same quality service as Jay @ Absolute.
