No, seriously, see about getting the block fixed first. Unless you have a bunch of cash and time laying around.

Those rodents left all kinds of nuts and goodies on top of my heads and intake manifold while in storage....

Used motors are pretty cheap right?
Maybe find a junkyard lq4/9 6.0?

The block probably isn't that hard of a fix. The old sleeve needs to be cut out and a new one pressed in. Then it need to be honed. Any cracks in the block (if any) can be fixed by welding.

I would look into a local machine shop and see if fixing fits the budget. Or as others recommended find a cheap used shortblock. Upgrading always takes more money and more work. If your up to it, now sounds like a good time to do it. lol. Otherwise just get what you need done to get up and running again.

Wouldn't think there'd be a surplus of junkyard LS motors in Saudi Arabia...

There is actually , LS1 engine came in those cars here :

2000-2006 caprice
2000-2006 lumina ss

and we have many of those at junk yard. That what made it easier for ls1 owners to find spare parts at GM dealers.
