Default Which Cam Is Better?

Which cam puts out more power Z06 cam or the LS6 cam? Or are they the same?

There are two different versions of the LS6/ZO6 cam. Theres a 01 version and a 02-04 version. Im not sure the specs of the 01 version but its slightly smaller than the 02-04 version which is 204/218 Duration @ 0.050, 0.551"/0.541" Lift, 117.5 LSA. You want the 02-04 version if you get one.

Aight thanks guys, I know the engine blocks are the same but I didnt know if the Z06 got a different cam along with the other stuff it got to get it that extra power

The ls6 02 springs handle more lift than 01 I believe. I also thought there were a few minor differences in the ls6 block, dealing with oiling and water passages... ?

BTW the 02 LS6 cam can be worth 25rwhp peak over the LS1 cam but the real story for the 02 LS6 cam is in the upper end of the rpm band the 02 LS6 cam be worth ~50rwhp over the LS1 cam.

Another mild cam is the LPE GT2-3 that is bascially a LS6 cam on steroids.
