My -2cc cuts are about .150" deep, so I'd say less than 1cc.

You got me a little confused. He is flycutting his stock pistons to accept a larger cam. There is no need for diffrent rods. No way will you loose 13 cc's with a .065' eye brow in the piston. Like I said before it will be 1 cc or less.

flycutting means machining the whole piston top, what you really wanted was cc's for .065 valve reliefs.

Don't you flycut for valve reliefs?

So back to my question, how much compression do I lose by flycutting .065" or just a shade under 1cc

I wouldn't worry about it. 1 cc isn't going to make any kinds of difference, maybe 3-4 HP at most, which will be made up by the cam anyway......Go build your **** and stop worrying about it

it takes 2cc to move 1 compression point. ie. 10.3 to 10.2 = -2cc's

****'s being built!!! Should be assembled tomorrow (hopefully)...with some dyno #'s I hope. I ended up milling the heads a bit to make up for it .
