For me it was the Lg motorsports g5x3 when i had a ls1 in my car. I made great power, pulled hard and sounded tough. I do think today there may be better cams out with the new lobs that are on the market. I would get with Pat g to get something for your needs.

That MPH seems low... with my crappy 3500 converter and stock rear and lousy 98 heads, I trapped 117 in a 3700lb car.

I would look at the tune first, and check the converter...

The most proven off the shelf cam for these motors (346) is hands down the 224/224.

I used to run a g5x3 on 114 lsa and i loved it, that was in a previous ls1 fbody i owned, I am looking around now and it doesn't seem to many people are running it. What is a comparable cam to it? i used to daily drive it fine so i am wondering if there are any new cams comparable to it

I would imagine the most proven cam would be the TREX cam.

The most proven cam will vary from setup to setup and goals to goals.

It all depends on what you want/budget that will allow XXXX to prove itself/etc etc...

I would guess the MPH and the efficiency (or lack of) with the VIG play a roll.
We need ALL the variables to even guess what the problem is however. Not just bits and pieces.

are you on stock heads? i highly doubt your cam only car made 430whp through a 4k vig stall.

i'd guess you were on a generous dyno. at that mph you're prob closer to 400whp, which would be more realistic of a stalled auto. a bad converter will dyno lower, as well.

a big cam is a big cam. what makes the difference at the track is setup and da.
