You seem a bit ignorant (not stupid) so I'm assuming this is a yes... Are you against spraying?

That would make your goal extremely easy and cheap.

Yeah don't wanna spray. I just don't know much about internals of an ls1. Had an lt1 a few years back but we will just say after a new face I totaled it. I don't run fast ATM cause my tires are junk and I need to tune my car. With a tune and lid I'm thinking I'd have around 350-360whp

If you want some peace of kind just do rod bolts. Will allow you to spin high and not worry.

Was he kidding when he said you ran mid 13s@106ish? My 98 with a lid and muffler ran that. A nice converter and sticky tires would blister that et. Add an intake lid exhaust and a tune and it would trap several mph faster as well. This is assuming that really was what your car runs.

What does your car really run? If he wants to match or best your et/mph and we dont know what It truthfully Is, were just swinging our dicks in the wind.
If this Is just a friendly rivalry it shouldn't be an issue letting us know what it will take to reach his goal.
havent gotten it to the track yet. Really need tires bad. ive seen similar cars to my set up go high 11's low 12's around 112-114 but its just bench racing until i know. we did some mexico racing b4 his headers and i pulled about 4 cars from 35-85ish. It ran better than i thought it would tho.

The internals are good to around 600rwhp as long as tune is up to par and nothing is already about to go, some have actually made them last a considerable amount of time at 630-650Rwhp.
340-350Rwhp is pretty stout numbers for a bolt on stalled A4. Remember, A4s aren't dyno queens by any means.
I was putting down 370Rwhp and running 7.2s-7.3s@94-95mph 1.50-1.52 short times barely spinning.... Raceweight is 3450 (near full weight) in 2200DA.
Numbers mean nothing when it comes time to line up.

Haha, I hear it.

Thanks man. Just a pile of parts that hasn't moved under its own will in a few months now!

No. I already said what you needed.

cam/timing chain/oil pump/springs/push rods/misc gaskets and bolts/tune

That is the basics for a cam swap.. If you can't afford that, don't do a cam swap right now.

Converter/suspension.

I run a PTC 4000 which hits very hard, they make a hell of a converter. 3.73 gears which help very little, I could 60' just as good with 3.23s.

Torque arm/panhard/subframe connectors/lower control arms/rear shocks... Nothing special there, just basic suspension mods.

I'm changing my exhaust setup a tad and tweaking the suspension a bit, also knocking off about 50# by changing the exhaust.
This hopefully will get me solid high 1.4Xs, I'd love to see some 1.45-1.46s in some good cool air later this year.

Nothing special to it honestly... Just isn't parts "thrown together".

If it was my daily, wouldn't bother me one bit.

The low profile tires on the 18s made more of an impact than the suspension.
