Well inconjunction while removing heads I was wondering if I remove the LS6 intake and ported tb would there be any huge difference going to 90/90 fast setup or would that be a waste of $mulah as spanky would say. My car.does have all boltons and has the torquer2 cam.

With an aftermarket cam, yes you will see gains. Even more so when you get heads. With that being said, it is quite an expensive upgrade, and the gains may not be worth it until you actually have heads on the car.

Agree

You will get a much higher horsepower-to-cost ratio out of improvements to the heads. If cannot do both heads and intake - postpone changes to the intake and put all the money into new/reworked heads.

Well I don't know if this constitutes for having heads on the car but I was thinking of porting my stock heads and having them milled if at all possible, though they are the stock ls1 heads which are the 8xx casting for 1998 ls1's.

Advanced Induction does amazing work on stock castings. The port work is CHEAPER than an average fast 90/90 setup. $1045. If you opted for 799 castings instead (same as 243s) you can find them used for 300-350 then send them off to AI...that would be roughly $1450 in your heads and would be a 40-50 RWHP gain. Even at $1450, that is probably just a bit more than the cost of a 90/90 and MUCH better gains. Of course, you also need the gaskets/bolts which is another $100 and the labor is harder. But it also allows you to replace the lifters with the LS7's which will help your engine in the long run with the cam you have (pretty aggressive grind)

Yes you will see improvement

Don't waste your time on those heads. If you go with an aftermarket head you will need to check pushrod length as well.

One thing to keep in mind-adding heads will also mean upgrading your fuel system(ie pump and injectors)

You will gain 10+hp. You could prob get a used 90 or 92 set up with tb for less than $800.
