Default Cam Only 120+ traps possible? setup?

I'm in the middle of a cam search for my car. I'm not looking for dyno numbers, that doesnt matter to me. I'd like to go off of MPH instead. So that being said, is there a cam only setup i can go with that will trap 120mph+?

car/mods:

02 z28 m6 (full weight) would like to keep it that way minus spare/jack
ls7 clutch
slp 1 3/4 long tubes
slp y
gutted cats
ported TB
slp lid
SSRA
powerbond udp
3.42 gears but am changing to 4.10's or 4.30's depending on cam powerband
stock wheels w/ bfg g force DR's
and i've got a set of Lunati dual golds ready to go in and ls7 lifters

i'd like to go with a cam motion grind, specifically a 232/236 .629/.629 113+4 power range is 2400-6400. But im open to other suggestions since i havent seen many track or dyno numbers from cammotion LS cars.

Its most definately possible. I'm not a cam expert but a friend of mine has a 232/236 cam and I personally watched his car trap 122 on a 80* day. keep the shifts quick and the race weight down and you should be able to obtain your goal.

My TA trapped 118 full weight with a TR230, dynatech headers, stock pulley, and stock LS1 intake. You should be able to reach that goal with that cam and some weight reduction. If you are talking about 3.42 gears in the stock rear don't waste any money on a gear swap. Save it and put it towards a 12 bolt or 9".

DA, shift speed, track prep and tire choice plays a factor in MPH as well, but I'm sure it's possible with the right combo.

With the right combo is the key word
I trapped 122mph with a 224 cam back in 2005.(A4)

I'm running a Cam Motion and its done great so far.

As for trapping 120+ in a cam only car, it would take a well thought out combo. It won't ET with a 10 bolt though because you can't launch hard.

I've seen a TR224 cam only firebird 6sp with stock gearing run an 11.9@119 with temps in the mid 40's. It's all about supporting mods, tune, weight, and DA.

I'd like to keep it stock weight. Clearly weight has more effect then rwhp but I'm going to stay stock full weight for the time being

My car weighs 3360 w/o me. Barely any weight reduction and I even have a 9", with a fabricated housing. Only things removed: spare tire/jack, abs, EGR, AIR, rear seats, and various items like small heat shields and such from engine bay. It's not too hard to drop a couple hundred pounds from these things and still be a very comfortable car on the street.

sure is possible, i have a feeling you will be in the 117-118 range though depending on your driving and DA.
