That sounds pretty reasonable.

I would go with the stage 2 and have the chambers fully ported and polished, add the exhaust valves, and the double spring kit. That will no doubt support 800rwhp all day.

I plan on either using a fully ported cnc set of 317's or going with an off the shelf as cast TF 220 head.

Edit: I just realized you are going to have 408 cubes to work with, with that being known now by me go with the 245cc intake port. You will have enough cubes to make up for the bigger cross sectional area and not lose much if any port velocity by going with the 245 over the 220.

If you would of had a 364, 365, 370, 385, or even a 390 a 220cc intake port would be more than enough, but if your looking for all out max power and don't care about part throttle fuel mileage or throttle response since a bigger intake port may lose some response, but once you spool you'll never notice it.

do you think it would be a big loss of response?

No, since your pressurizing the intake port under boost you will never notice it and your motor should make enough power out of boost being a 408 as long as you don't over cam it.

Turbo motors dont need as much cam anyways. A smaller cam will help keep the CR up and part throttle response up, but like I said you won't notice it.

take this and post it in the FI section. dont waste your money porting the heads. there is much better places to spend your money. just get a decent valve job and some good valve springs.
