Default cast #806 port job comments PLEASE!

Would these heads be good on a driver with a TR224 cam, LS6 intake, headers a 4000 converter and 3.73 gears?
2.0 intake valve and rev springs.
Flow numbers:
LIFT INT EXH
.100 65 48.4
.200 135.1 105.4
.300 201.8 139

.500 279.6 196.1
.550 281.9 201.8

Thanks Brian!
Looks like decent numbers up to .500 lift, then your heads out flow them for sure.
What gain over my stock 2000 Formula heads do you think I'd see with the heads I mentioned vs a set of your Stage I's using a TR224/112 .563" cam and Jethot long tubes with a stock Canadian LS6 intake? I need pump gas friendly - are 806 heads?
Those heads are about $500 cheaper - but is it worth the extra labor to swap heads at those flow numbers? Or just save up for real heads and do it once....
opinion is welcome since I'm new to LS1 motors.
thanks -

with a tr224 and those 806 heads you'll be fine. you dont need heads flowing at 360+cfm at .600 for a cam like the tr224.

i will however say that brian is going to be getting my business when my tax return comes, some S1.5 5.3

What cc thus compression will an 806 yield on my 5.7 and what year casting are they? Any bolt hole/pollution concerns used on a 2000?

806 casting are 97/98 heads, there perimeter bolt vavle cover design with the coil packs bolted directly to the vavle cover. unmilled with the right gasket they'll have the same 10.1 compression as stock.

If I read your post correctly, then I would say the heads you have now are as good as our Stg I heads as they only flow 270-280. A Stg 1.5 or II head should be about 20 RWHP better then that. Our new Stg 2.5 LS6 heads are another 20 RWHP/20-30 RWTQ better then the 1.5/II heads.

It is easy enough to reccomend to someone to save up for a killer set of Stg 2.5 LS6 heads, but then we would all drive Porsche's and Corvettes if it was as simple as that. I will attach some dyno numbers from our latest LS6 Stg 2.5 on a daily driver 455 RWHP/425 RWTQ. Hope this helps.

Thanks jrp/Brian.
Looks like the heads I'm looking at are a basic street port($800 bolt on, barely used) - but for $1000 more I could have your Stage 1.5/II set with +20rwhp potential. After that it's all "how much for how much?"!!
jrp - am I getting that the 806 even as a 98 casting will or won't be physically different than my 2000 LS1 heads? Forgive my ignorance but this is my first LS1

the only physical difference between theh 806 and 853/241 heads are how the valve covers bolt on. the heads themselves are the same. i dont like the 806 castings since the perimeter bolt vavles covers and lack of a coil pack bracket gets tiresome upon removal.

I always remove the valve covers with the coil packs intact on the 98 covers how hard is that? I think there is 8 bolts for the permiter covers and you have to take off 9 to get the center bolts off. Looks like to me the center bolt would take longer. IMO
