Same cam im going with. Do you already have an aftermarket cam or do you have stock cam and springs? If so than yes you will need new springs and pushrods. And it is best to measure for pushrod length, but if you have stock heads 7.4 will most likely be fine. Im going to measure because im picky with what goes in my motor, but alot just use the 7.4's and it works just fine.

Yea I would like to go with 110 lsa, but I guess it's hard to tune and make run right.... With lower lsa your power will come in sooner in the rpm band

A good tuner can tune the 110 lsa without a problem.

I have a 228r installed and I used PAC 1218 springs and tsp 7.4 push rods. My lsa is 112, which is not to aggressive but im happy with it. And Just A tip if you are gonna install it your self like I did, use ls1howto.com. It was my first cam swap and it went flawless using that site!!

Now I have questions for U LOL. Are you m6 or A4? Why did you choose the 7.4's? And what methid did you use to adjust your valves?

if you have an m6 go with a 112 the 110 makes power come in sooner and fall off later hell I'd even consider a 114 lsa the m6 will keep rpms high under wot shifts and therefore a cam with a wider lsa will hold power up top better. If you want it to chop just have the tuner set the idle lower believe me a 112 or 114 cam will lope no problem.

@z99ls1 I have a 2000 A4; as far as valves I didnt change or adjust them. And I chose the the push rods by them being a popular choice by every one else that had the same cam.

You also have to add in the advance on top of the lsa. The more the advace the more low end torque you get and less high rpm power you get I beleive. I think a 110+2 is the same as 112+4. Someone who knows how advancing and retarding the cam actually works plz chime in if im completely wrong. I might be a little off, but I think that's how it goes....

Who adjusted your valves than? Do you have stock stall or aftermarket? Does your motor run quiet without valvetrain noise?

Awesome. Have you ran it down the 1/4 mile yet? By adjusting the valves, I mean how did you tighten your rocker arm nut down on ur pushrod. I am asking because ls1howto just torqued them down to 22 ft lbs. Is that what you did also?

We only have a 8th mile track locally but I haven't been to the track yet. For the rocker arms I just went by ls1how.com and torqued them down to 22 ft lbs and it worked just fine.
