Depends on what you are after,, all the power in the world will do you no good if you cant get it down the track,, DEPENDING ON BUDGET,, Start where everyone else does, Get yourself a set of longtube headers, a good y pipe, a good air induction kit, there are plenty of them out there, SEARCH this site for FREE MODS, there is a big write up on them. When you are done with that stuff get a mail order tune,,(Frost or TEXAS SPEED does more than any other) and you will feel a difference. WHen you want more than that, then its gonna start getting really expensive, The next step would definately be a cam, and intake, with a set of heads to go with. My old setup was a stock block with PRC stage 2.5 5.3 heads, a fast 92, with a custom EPS cam, the car made 463RWHP. Thats a stout street engine that will handle most comers, and hold its own at the track. IT all comes down to what you want to do with the car, and how much you can afford. I have a stroker engine,, IT WAS NOT CHEAP, and I built it.

well texas-speed sells heads/CAM kits.
But you should probably start with your bolt ons.

simple mods:
free Ram air, descreen MAF, P&P throttle body-$60, Lid-$100

moderate:
Headers-$500ish, Ypipe/Duals-$200-$300, ls6 Intake manifold$300-$400

advanced:
Heads+cam package from TSP-$1600-$1800

and lastly...a DYNO tune-$400-$500

Is your car an auto or a six speed?

I would suggest a 3600 stall if your car is an auto. It was one of the best mods i did in the beginning.
