Sorry man I didn't mean anything buy it. Saying a "few" of my posts are useless is an understatement.

hey im lysdesic leave me alone haha less fuel means rich duh.... my mother is also blonde I blame her genes, or maybe im just stupid. I work at a BMW service center as a master tech and am ASE master certified. I started at pep boys and ill tell you go to the dealer the level of professionalism is worth the cost. unless you find an independent that specializes in your application specially a speed shop that will do diagnosis. no body is gonna charge you for a guess in the dark or if they cant figure out whats wrong they will just say take it to the dealer, believe me those were my famous last words at pep boys.

Maybe the converter is crap did anyone consider this? What kinda converter are you running? I went 11.9@112 on a MS3 cam only setup with a 273 gear and a 3500 stall on 18: Zo6 rims on normal kumo street tires COMPLETLY stock suspension....anyone who knows anything about that cam knows it likes converter and gear....Anyways I later changed the 273 gear to a 373 gear. Def a noticable light to light feel but you know what I picked up at the track? NOTHING. Car ran the same times in near identical weather so the gear has nothing to do with it. I'd bet its something in your trans or converter.
Sounds to me like your converter may be way too loose.

Im asssuming your meaning memphis, tn as Im not far away and that track is under 500ft above sea level. My 1st 99 ls1 with 2.73 gear, K&N filter, and flowmaster muffler ran 13.7 @ 104 with horrible 60ft times. Its already been said but " somethings deffinitely wrong with the car ". Id get it checked out at a local performance shop like Dyno Speed Racing if you dont have the necessary tools to do so. Talk to Josh, he tuned my car and can help ya out.

sounds like it's not making the power it should, you should easily be running mid to low 12's with that setup, look at my setup and i'm in the 11's

My vote is on a hurt cylinder or two (busted ringland, bad valve, bent pushrod, etc), or a slipping transmission.

Wouldnt a trans slipping bad enough to cause the op's times generally hit the limiter from gear to gear @ WOT???

Not necessarily. If it's starting to go it won't be noticeable enough, although it would have to be notable slip for the OP to be trapping under 100mph.

i dont think i my trans is slipping at all as i have a misfire im trying to track down...i still dont understand why the check engine light still hadnt came on.but anyway today i pulled both valve covers to check the valvetrain...i have no broken valve springs,no bent pushrods,no loose rockers so i believe all is weel on that end.im just hoping now that its something simple like a coil going bad or injector..

is there a testing procedure for the coil packs?

for the people who use hp tuners how do i read misfire counts with the scanner...i keep reading about people doing it but i dont see how to do so unless im missing something.

just trying to isolate the cylinder or cylinders.if i can pinpoint the cylinder with the issue then i can focus on it...swapping coils, injectors, comprssion test, leakdowns, and constantly pulling plugs is alot of work to do on all 8 cyls...hopefully someone understands where im coming from
