408 cubic inches will eat up just about any head available. Then your plastic intake will be the restriction. Which is good.....then you can upgrade the intake later when you have more cash, but get the best flowing heads possible that $$$ allows.

I'm sorry, but that's wrong for so many reasons. Way too general a statement. Just like camshafts, it's easy to go too big for a particular application. You move the power band so far up in the rpm range that this truck becomes impractical to drive on the street. Again, call AFR and tell them what you are after, what you have, and what would they recommend. Be realistic...you don't want a truck you have to run to 7500 rpm on the street.

I agree.. I'm not looking for flow numbers. LS3 heads flow really well in the stock form, but obviously are not the ideal combo for me.

Trick Flow heads are the way to go. I have TFS 215cnc heads opened up to 4" bore on my 402ci motor..

How much power are you making with those heads. Also what intake and cam are you running?
