yea you have to replace them anyway, but where do you think the metal coming of the tips of your valves is going? I will tell you it's not just dissapearing, it's going through the rest of your motor and it can tear other **** up.

There was a thread on Yellow Bullet recently where Brian Tooley explained
that the stock rocker bearings and valve/guides get flat out abused when
cams try to move the valve much more than .550-.560. The rocker geometry
just isn't designed for more than this and causes binding AND deflection. Now
B4 everyone jumps down my neck and says "well almost all cams have .600"
lift and are fine".....listed cam lift is lobe lift times rocker ratio. Putting a dial
indicator on the retainer shows the valve actually moves .020-.030 less than
the cam card. This is due to push-rod deflection, rocker arm deflection,slight
inaccuracy of rocker ratio (manufacturing tolerances), valve deflection due to
guide clearances, etc....IMO the .648" intake lift is trying to open the valve
.615-.620" which causes the rocker to bind during the geometric swipe.....
in laymans terms it's being forced against it's will....something's gotta give

There are newer lobes that are much easier on parts and can get you the same power. LSKs are now older technology, there are many new iterations.
