Yep.

I reused them from time to time when I was a dealer tech (under shop foreman orders), and I've reused them on my own stuff before. But that's also because I have the ability to redo it if it doesn't work out.

For the weekend warrior wrencher, I would never recommend reusing rings. Ever.

Well GM actually reuses the rings under warranty work for excessive oil useage. They reuse the compression rings and only replace the oil control pack.

Well, I don't want to have to do it twice. Hopefully the cheap rings I'm buying are a better option than reusing the original ones. I wish I had the money to get all the nice stuff and I realize that the rings are an important part of the build but I can only do what I can.

I personally wooood reuse them, I really don't think you will have any trouble. If you can't afford the GM rings be real careful what you buy.

pistons rings wear to the block, hints the "break in period" if u reused them they will either A-break under heavy compression, or B- have no compression and cause piston shatter and burning oil

I spun my #6 rod bearing I just wrapped that part of the crank with duct tape to build it up and slapped that bitch back in there!
