Default Loosing coolant Help

My car is slowly loosing coolant. It hasent overheated, but the radiator light turns on and I see that its getting lower. I cant see a leak anywhere. I fear it could be a blown head gasket but my car never overheated, so why would it be? do headgaskets go bad on thier own? the car has 145000 miles and the waterpump was replaced at 98000 miles.

Check to see if ther is coolant in your oil it will be a milky color if you head gasket is blown. also wana check your weep hole in the water pump, if that is not the problem you can buy/rent a tool to pressurize the coolant system this will force the coolant out wherever it is leaking and should make it easier to spot

If your car is eating coolant but has zero leaks its a head gasket and/or crack head/block. Does it run a little rough when you first crank it? Does it blow steam out of the exhaust while its idling? When starting it up and keeping the radiator cap off, does start sending bubbles up through the radiator as its warming up?

I second the head gasket thing.. mine did the same thing for a good year. Finally the coolant started to bubble and I pulled the head. It'll probably keep getting worse.

at startup it feels fine, also thoughout the powerband. i dont see any smoke coming out the exhaust. shouldent it be overheating if it had a blown head gasket? is it possible that a head gasket would go bad on its own without the car overheating. I used to have a mustang with over heating problems, so ever since then in all my cars i keep track of thier temperature, and this car is mostly under 185* so why would the head gasket decide to go bad on its own?

Really weird because I just started having this SAME issue with about 144k on the clock. Put a pressure tester on it for a few hours, found coolant starting to trickle out of the weep hole on my water pump and the edges of the thermostat housing were also wet.

i just looked at it again and it looks like it could be the water pump. I dident even look that way since i assumed it would be good since it was replaced 50K miles ago, but then again its remaufactured

just found a guy selling a new LS3 water pump off a camaro crate motor never used. Does this fit my 98 camaro, as in pully size, location and heater tubes?
