383 stroker ls1 build questions.
after him going through everything I have 2 broken pistons 2 out of round rods and 2 bent ex valves and the crank needs to be turned...
he's giving me a hell of a deal on a whole rotating assembly using a 4" stroke.
so far I have a vortech supercharger, compression will be 8.7:1 using stock heads and intake.
crank rods and pistons are going to be scat and no nitrous.
everything sound good so far?? any suggestions on what cam to run and also how much boost??
this is my first ls1 build so anything is greatly appreciated!!!
decisions decisions....
and then to top it off.... what cam to run?
and also, who's gonna be able to tune it?
about the rotating assembly i would recommend callies ..
a few guys i kno are running callies are higher priced than scat but good product ... same thing i am doing a 383 on my ls6... spend a few more bucks if you can and get some quality parts...
about the blower cam i cannot give advice im a N/A guy ... so
someone with some blower experience can chime in on a cams profile
for the blower set up...
good luck on your build... let us kno how much more power the extra cubes give you ...
that is about the only thing i am curious about HOW MUCH MORE POWER will the extra cubes provide????
I figured more people would have some advice but i guess i'm kinda shooting in the blind here!
I ended up going with 9.7:1 ratio. hopefully with 11 lbs of boost that will work good.
