Default LG G6X3 cam

Anyone running one of these.
Going to build a max effort 346
Using afr 225 heads with it

Hopeing to make 480-490 rwhp

M6 car with 4.56 gear

Am I the only one with a ls1 with this cam?

My old 416 with stock ls3 heads I ran this cam
And it made 525rwhp 510 tq with stock ls3 intake and mwc fab 9 and tru dual exhaust over the axles

I had a 242/248 609/595 112 cam and switched to this g6x3 and lost 15hp allm over. I then had pag g grind me a custom and it was better all over over my other two. A pat g cam is the way to go. i'm on my second and each time his toped the cams i had.

My car had that very cam in it before putting a custom lsl lobed cam in it that is bigger than the LG cam. Picked up pretty well afterwards. If your doing a total max effort 346 get a custom camshaft spec'd.

I had ed do a custom cam for my stock headed 346. I tested a few other cams. MikeC how much power did you gain? Never seen a g5x3 make over 430 cam only. You have heads, what dose it trap?

Trex makes the most. 433whp, this one made 441 with valve float. Ed called it the johnnie stick on the box haha. I went 129.89 adding weight to the car. Im gona port my old fast92, or get a 102, go to a SD tune. get a ele WP, a few other things I know it will trap 130s. Should make 450 on stock 241s

Yes, it is

For a max effort engine, I'd definitly go with a Patrick G custom cam.

Not saying there isn't a better cam out there, but I know of that same h/c in a 6.0 vette that put down 538rwhp and trapped 134mph.

Thanks Mike, Im pretty sure I sent that to you free of charge to test because you were unhappy with the low end response of the big cam. Its a smaller cam, so it sounds right that It would make less power. You had an X4 before, and I agreed to hear what you had to say about the G6x3, so I sent one for you to try. No?

G6x3 was originally tested in cathedral port heads

We are limited by piston to valve clearance, and jasons setup has changed a little bit here and there, so maybe Ill spec him a new cam. If he is willing to fly cut, a bigger mcnasty cam would do well
